Parish Pentecost Celebration - Sunday 8th June 7pm
A warm welcome awaits everyone as we gather round an outdoor fire in the church grounds to share faith, food and fellowship — a way to celebrate Pentecost, connect with one another and build community. We will provide hotdogs and refreshments as well as marshmallows to toast at the fire. If you can bring a dish or dessert to share that would be much appreciated. Come for a celebration of all that is good and growing in our parish. As we listen and share stories, we invite the Holy Spirit to set our hearts on fire and send us out to be pilgrims of hope in the world around us. Wrap up warm and dress for the weather - we will move inside if it rains.
Volunteer Week 2025
This week we give thanks to the many incredible volunteers who give their time, energy and love to St John’s Parish. Whether you greet at the door, help clean the church, are involved in a ministry or help behind the scenes — know you make a real difference. Your quiet acts of service and steadfast presence are the heart of our parish community. We are deeply grateful for each and every one of you. As a thank you to all our volunteers, the parish will be hosting a Volunteer Appreciation Night on the evening of Friday 26th September, which will include a meal - so save the date! Details to follow. Thank you for all that you do!
Be a Digital Disciple - please read then share this week's Parish Bulletin. Thank you!
Altar Servers
Welcome to our new altar servers who began their ‘on the job training’ in the parish last weekend. Altar Servers must be aged at least 8 years old and have made their First Communion. Those in Post Primary school are particularly encouraged to come forward.
We require a responsible adult to be present in the church when children under twelve are serving at the altar. Altar servers will form part of a team and serve on a rota basis. Training and robes provided.
If your child would like to become an altar server please speak to Catherine or Fr Martin after Mass.
